1. E-payment procedure for immigration services
This is to inform the general public that the consulate general has commence the issuance of the e-passport with effect from Monday, 30th June, 2008, all applications for immigration services such as:-
? Passport (re-issue)
? Passport (renewal)
? Replacement of lost passport
? Visas
Are expected to be completed and paid for on-line through the e-immigration platform at
www.immigration.gov.ng
In keeping with this development, the consulate-general of Nigeria in New York will, from that date, require evidence of on-line payment(s) for any of the above services before processing and issuing the documents.
Further details on the new e-payment system can be obtained from the Nigeria immigration service website indicated above.
2. Processing and expedited fees
The general public is also to note that the processing fee of ten united states dollars (us$10.00), for passport renewal and twenty united states dollars (us$20.00) for other range of immigration services as well as any additional expedited fees, are to be paid for in form of money orders duly made payable to – consulate general of Nigeria, New York.
Any application for passport reissue / renewal and visas that does not comply with the requirements of the new payment system cannot be processed.
