As one of the four (4) Nigeria's diplomatic representation in the United States of America, the Consulate General of Nigeria, New York, established its presence in New York.The Consulate is located at 828 second Avenue, New York, NY 10017.

The Consul General

Honourable Habib Baba Habu, OON, a seasoned diplomat who has served Nigeria for over thirty years in key positions of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs as well as Nigeria Diplomatic Missions abroad, assumed duty as the Consul General, Consulate General of Nigeria, New York on August 1st , 2011. This is to inform all Members of Staff and the General Public that Monday, 27th May and Wednesday, 29th May, 2013 have been declared public holidays by the US and Federal Republic of Nigeria in observance of Memorial Day and Democracy Day, respectively. Accordingly, the offices of the Consulate General of Nigeria, New York, will be closed on both days.. Normal business will resume on Tuesday, 28th May and again will recommence on Thursday, 30th May, 2013.
The Consulate General of Nigeria wishes to inform the General Public that the Federal Government of Nigeria has approved a new dedicated telephone line for Visa and Passport Enquires Consequently, effective from the 1st of April, 2013, the premium rate number 1-900-285-2727 would become the only number for purposes of Visa and Passport Services. The public should be informed that calls to this number would cost $2.50 per minute.
